Canmore; Canada's best kept secret  The little town of Canmore is only a ten minute drive to beauty of Banff National Park and an hour's drive to Lake Louise. Staying in Canmore allows the visitor to Canada a feel for local life... A great visit by all! We found the city so easily to get around, we just took the metro and walked a lot. Great weather in the fall, lots of cool restaurants and pubs to go to. We definitely recommend a drive up to... When in Calgary you have to see GlobalFest! You have to check out GlobalFest, the International Fireworks competition and Cultural Festival is like NO other event in the world... There was 4 countries competing for the Fireworks title and... Fresh folige, a water wall, fireplace and tropical fish video on a big... Not all it's cracked up to be...  Calgary, while a growing city over these past 10 years thanks in large part to the oil/gas sector, is fundamentally a small town masquerading as a big city. There is quite literally nothing to do...
