Alpha Art Studio are a group of fun and creative adults with an intellectual disability or sensory impairment. They have an art studio based off Cuba Street in Central Wellington where they practice art, undertake art workshops scrap-booking, photography, printmaking and do a range of activities that make life more fun soccer, drama, dancing. They encourage their personal development sign language, cooking, literacy and computer classes — among many other things!
They're always there, 24 hours a day, days a year. Their ambulance and paramedic services are free, because they believe that in an emergency people should get the help they need without a bill at the end.
